My paintings may be categorized as abstract landscapes, although you may note quite a range among them - from fairly literal to clearly abstract.
I work from an initial wash or undercoating on the canvas, adding color and line, revolving the canvas several times until there gradually appears to me, like out of a mist, a natural setting - suggesting perhaps a lakeside, a forest, fields, or a hillside - or simply just the feeling of a landscape.
